The Union of Glass Fiber Manufactures (UGFM) is an uncommercial organization and it was established in 2004 for the purpose of protection of different interests of manufactures of glass fiber products.

At the present time the UGFM joins manufactures of continuous fiberglass products (fiber and roving, fabrics, construction, over-the-road and abrasive meshes, fiberglass reinforced plastic, insulating materials and etc.), producers of specialized equipment, scientific organizations, trading companies.

The main directions of UGFM’s activity are:

• assistance to processes of technological and technical upgrading of manufactures of UGFM’s members;
• assistance to enlargement of field of application of glass fiber products;
• assistance to formation of modern system of standards and technical regulation of the branch;
• assistance to domestic and international market promotion of glass fiber products;
• lending of intellectual, marketing, organizational, legal and informative supporting to FGMA’s members;
• strengthening of cooperation communications between producers of fiberglass products, consumers and suppliers of specialized equipment, development of international cooperation;
• increasing of employee’s qualification level.

UGFM associates with the federal ministers and agencies, regional administrations, technical committees and with various public organizations in the frame of protection of interests of the UGFM’s members.
